The DHS secretaries have useful tools and resources to help students find their way around the office and around campus. Rami Rashmawi heads to the computer lab above the library. Rashmawi will be this year’s junior class president Vice President Tom McHale works in his office near the counseling area. McHale is one of the three vice principals at DHS. DHS Librarian Bruce Cummings enters data for inventory into his computer at the library front desk. DHS Drama teacher Gwyn Bruch, in red, gives hugs to two former students who have stopped to visit. Bruch is enthusiastic about welcoming new students. Grace Navarrot, the Friendship Day president, heads to her second period class. She helps to organize and facilitate the Friendship Day events that happen on a Friday of every month. Campus Supervisor DeMond Huff flashes a thumbs-up and a smile. Huff is unsure about whether or not he will still be on campus next year due to school budget cuts, but hopes to be able to give a warm welcome to the incoming sophomores. Librarian Ruth Amaral sorts through papers at the library front desk. Amaral and other librarians are available for research help and other useful services. DHS school nurse Rhonda Youtsey makes a call in the nurse’s office. She is available on a daily basis to help students with medical needs.
