These students who made the trip to Catalina Island as part of Tim Peevyhouse’s Zoology/Botany class share their thoughts on the experience.
“Snorkeling was great. And being able to swim with all the different fish, sharks and rays that we had previously only seen pictures of.” –Senior Nilesh Haile
“The night snorkels were awesome because it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the ocean at night. Different than how you’d normally see it.”- Senior Chase Dossa
“Waking up at 5:30 for the morning hike sucked but seeing the sunrise over the water was so worth it.” –Senior Maia Polis
“I really liked it because it was something I hadn’t done before. I got to experience something that normally people would just see on TV.”- Senior Rose Stephens
