With homecoming week in full swing six students have been selected as homecoming royalty. These six students were voted on by the student body and will make appearances on Friday during halftime of the homecoming football game.
Sophomore Molly Nichols will be making her homecoming debut alongside sophomore Cedric Hughes. Nichols is currently a member of the junior varisty women’s field hockey team and is a member of the Davis High band program.
Hughes is a member of the DHS madrigals choir and the speech and debate team. Away from school, he enjoys aviation and is currently working towards obtaining his pilot’s license.
“I did not expect [to become homecoming royalty] but I think it will be really fun and I’m looking forward to it,” Hughes said.
Junior Maya Beal will be honored as homecoming royalty for the first time come Friday. Beal is a member of the JV women’s basketball team. In addition, she participates in CSF and NHS.
