Davis High students were evacuated early afternoon on Nov. 2 after a malfunction set off a fire alarm.
The alarm went off at 12:33 and students were allowed to return to class 20 minutes later. A fire truck arrived without sirens at DHS five minutes after the alarm went off.
Students were evacuated “out of an abundance of caution,” VP Karen Gardias said.
An alarm in the P-wing went off because of a heat sensor, “so we were checking to make sure it was okay,” Gardias said.
Firefighters made sure there was no danger and Gardias confirmed that the alarm had been fixed.
