Davis High dance team shines at Blue Devil games

Through hard work and dedication, the Davis High Dance team always puts on a brilliant performance showing their school spirit at Blue Devil Games. The Davis High Dance Team has become a staple highlight at the Blue Devil Football Games, captivating audiences with their halftime performances. 

Getting ready for a big halftime performance takes lots of practice and preparation in order to perform at the highest level.

“I’ve been loving my time so far as the captain of the Dance team,” junior Nisha Chander said, “We want to keep the crowd entertained and love performing for the crowds during halftime.”

The DHS dance team also enjoys having specific outfits for their performances based on the theme of the particular football game.

 “For us, the idea of incorporating outfits isn’t the biggest concern we have when performing,” DHS dance member LeDuff said, “We like to collaborate and think about what we would all be comfortable with.”

Many members of the DHS dance team have been dancing and performing for the majority of their lives. Several of them have grown up together dancing.

“I’ve known a lot of the girls on my team for a long time,” LeDuff said, “We’ve been going to the same studio for a long time now and it’s so fun to be performing together at the football games.”

LeDuff also talked about how dedicated the team is to their sport, and that they are excited to continue performing for the audience at football games.

“As captain I have lots of fun leading our practices and keeping everything in line,” Chander said, “performing at the football games is always a blast because I get to hang out with my friends and be immersed in the DHS spirit!”
