If you’re still looking for a Mother’s Day gift, look no further

Mother’s Day – a day for appreciating mothers, all they’ve done for us and to shower them with our returned giving’s. Every mother deserves a special gift for Mother’s Day, but making a decision can be hard.
While most mother’ will tell you that all they need is to see your smiling face every day, it never hurts to give them a little more, right?
Local Davis parent Christina Siracusa shares what she would consider a wonderful gift. “The perfect Mother’s Day gift would just be spending time with my kittens and my children – or anything from the Whole Earth Festival. Little gardening pegs and vegetable garden signs are very nice,” she said.
Besides the annual Whole Earth Festival, Davis is full of little shops that sell sweet presents for any mother; such as Nestware, Crème de la Crème and the Outdoor Store. Sweet candies, jewelry, pottery and darling decorations are always appreciated.
But for the mothers that could use something straight from the heart, homemade gifts are always a honeyed option.
DHS sophomore Claudia Shebloski has some ideas for a homemade surprise. “For Mother’s Day this year, I’m going to cook my mother a nice breakfast – it’s from the heart, and very delicious. Cards are also sweet and easy,” she said.
After letting your mother awaken to her favorite munchies and your beautiful face, make sure to let the load of her hard working shoulders. Clean the living room, wash the dishes, take out the trash (this is where having siblings comes in handy).
Mother’s Day should be more than just giving her a present, but showing her that you’re there for her and appreciate all of the work that she does for you every day.
Shebloski sheds some insight on the true meaning of Mother’s Day. “Mother’s Day is a really special day to show your mother your appreciation and show how much you respect, appreciate and love her – even though that should every day.” She said.
