Frozen yogurt chain, Yogurtland, opens in Davis

Yogurtland, a popular yogurt chain throughout the United States has finally nestled itself in the Davis Marketplace, replacing Coldstone Creamery. On May 31, 2013, Yogurtland officially launched itself into the hearts (and stomachs) of Davis residents by offering free all-you-can-eat yogurt to whoever was willing to stand in the hour-long line for it.
In the blistering summer heat, a line of more than 100 people stood and melted with hopes of making up for the heat with a delicious cup of frozen yogurt. Two of those people were seniors Raquel Valdes and Travis Zane, neither of whom were too exited about standing in the never-ending line.
“I’ve stood in lines for Space Mountain in Disneyland that were shorter than this!” Valdes said. “Yeah actually at this point I’m not even sure if the yogurt is even worth it, let’s protest and go to Pinkberry!” Zane agreed.
But the yogurt was definitely worth it. The all natural ingredients really translated into the flavor, there was something fresh about the taste.
Besides Yogurt, the contagiously positive attitude of the Yogurtland employees was infectious, easily lifting anyone out of a bad mood with a soft smile and easygoing words.
Although it is competing with what seems like infinite other frozen yogurt shops in Davis, Yogurtland seems to be here to stay!
