Homecoming theme announced

The 2013 Homecoming theme, “Devils through the decades,” was announced at the sophomore/junior assembly on the morning of Sept. 10.

Last week, students voted between theme options of “Devils through the decades,” “Board games,” and “Dr. Suess.” Soon after beginning to count the ballets, it became clear that “Devils through the decades” would be the winning theme, according to senior and Student Government member Meghan Balderama.

Representatives from each class will get to choose what decade they want their float to be themed around, with seniors getting first choice and sophomores last.

“It could be anywhere from a 1920’s theme to a future theme!” Balderama said.

Junior Sophia Hernandez was among the students to vote for “Devils through the decades” because she thought it was the most interesting theme.

“I’m excited because it’s [the theme] I wanted!” Hernandez said. “I can’t wait to see all the floats and decorations.”
