VIDEO: Black Lives Matter protest stops traffic

Protesters gathered on the corner or Russell and B Street and stopped traffic for about an hour on May 4 to protest the recent police activities involving the killing of African Americans.

Police closed off the corner and part of Russell, leaving many drivers confused and angry because they could not see the protest down the street. The protesters used signs and chants directed toward police officers and called for arrests in the killings of African Americans in places like Ferguson, Mo. and Baltimore, Md.
