REVIEW: Definitive boba tea rankings

Bubble tea anyone? Bubble tea is also known as pearl milk tea or, more commonly, as boba tea.
Boba tea is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Taichung in the 1980s. The most popular boba drinks are composed of tea (black or green), milk and tapioca balls. In Davis there are a whopping six tea houses that sell an assortment of these drinks.
On the evening of October 23, my cousin, a close friend and I set out to find the best boba in Davis. We ordered the standard “Black Milk Tea” with tapioca balls from each Tea House. We rated the drinks on the price per ounce, time it took to get the order, the overall taste of the tea, the quality of the tapioca balls and atmosphere.
