This year’s autumn is jam-packed with exhilarating concerts, featuring world-famous artists such as Travis Scott and Lindsey Stirling. Fortunately, many of them will come here, to California.
Although Davis is not a particularly big city, it is only a 20-minute drive to Sacramento, home to the Golden 1 Center, Ace of Spades and other major concert regions.
Travis Scott will be performing at Golden 1 on Dec. 15, easily making it one of the most hyped up and popular concerts for hip-hop fans this year.
Additionally, gems such as Dom Kennedy, G Herbo and Tech N9ne are set to perform in the Ace of Spades in Sacramento, for other hip-hop enthusiasts.
Junior Zevik Citron is no stranger to concerts. Recently returning from a Denzel Curry concert, Citron is a big fan of rap music.
“[Rap concerts are] different because the atmosphere is different and there’s a lot of good energy,” Citron said. He also adds that concerts are a fun experience because he can enjoy it with his friends.
Citron cannot go to the Travis Scott concert this year, but he thinks it would have been an enjoyable experience.
“ASTROWORLD was a really good album and I enjoyed it,” Citron said. “Seeing it live would’ve been really fun.”
For non-rap enthusiasts, there is still a surplus of concerts they can go to. Among these, some notable names are Lindsey Stirling and The Internet.
The two artists will perform on Nov. 24 (Golden 1 Center) and on Oct. 28 (Ace of Spades) respectively, so fans who may not enjoy the atmosphere of a hip-hop concert will still have opportunities to experience a concert.
Junior Brian Liu has also recently been to a non-rap concert, the Vertigo World Tour, featuring alternative rock artists Kacy Hill and Eden.
“The concert was really intense, especially because he played one of his unreleased songs,” Liu said. While Liu really enjoyed the Eden concert, he also plans to go to concerts of other genres.
“I was actually thinking of going to a KYLE concert sometime,” Liu said.
Whether one likes hip-hop or rock, if he or she searches for any concerts near Davis this fall, he or she will find a concert that catches his or her eye.
