As the Davis city council passes economic relief measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic, restaurants in Downtown Davis struggle to adjust their business models to fit the evolving situation. Dahlia Kraus reports on this story.

On a Wednesday afternoon, few people are downtown because of COVID-19. There are copious spaces. 
UC Davis bike racks are still crowded, and several buses pass through the bus station. 
Jenifer Daves picks up her avocado cheeseburger and garlic fries from Burgers and Brew. 
Village Bakery has a bottle of hand sanitizer available for customers. In the back of the store two employees make pizzas, and the surrounding shelves are stocked with fresh bread. 
Some restaurants have online ordering, where the customer fills out a form to submit their take-out order.
