Photo scavenger safari connects seniors, offers prizes

All Davis seniors have the opportunity to participate in Davis Safari 2021, a photo scavenger hunt organized by parent group Supporting Our Seniors. The scavenger hunt clues were released today and seniors have until April 18 to submit photos and win a wide array of prizes. 

The Davis Safari will take place throughout Davis and include a variety of photo prompts. DJUSD seniors are invited to follow the clues and either text, email or post their photos on social media to be entered in a daily raffle.

“Some of the clues are funny, some are obvious, for others there are 4 or 5 other places you could find it. I’ll give you a little hint, one is a double decker bus,” said Kristen Muir, chair of the Davis Safari subcommittee.

For every five pictures submitted, one entry in the prize raffle is granted and three winners will be selected daily. In addition to the daily raffle, participants will also be eligible to win a grand prize basket which includes gift cards, swag, and AirPods. 

“We’re just trying to get people out and get people together in a safe way. We’ve spent so much time in front of our computers in our bedrooms, kitchen tables, or wherever has become our ‘classroom space’ and the goal was to get us back out and connect and we’re hoping that it’s a positive thing in a fun and safe way,” Muir said.
