Davis High’s women’s varsity and JV lacrosse teams played against Roseville’s Woodcreek High on March 18.
The JV Blue Devil’s lost 8 to one and varsity won 15 to seven. This was the varsity team’s ninth game of the season and their fourth league game. They have won eight out of nine games and all league games this season to date.
Scoring for the varsity Blue Devil’s were Tory Agnew, Alicia Holman-Evans, Devon Morris, Colette Quaas, Katie McMullen, Devin Hawkes and Gabriella Laugero.
“I think we’re doing pretty well. I think that we’re definitely improving, and I do think there are things that we need to improve on, but I think that we’re getting there. We’re getting stronger every time we practice and every time we have a game,” senior Deven Morris said.
This was the devils’ last game before spring break with the team’s next game scheduled for March 29.
“Excitement and energy was really high. It was the day before spring break, the game before spring break and I think we had a really good burst of energy in the beginning,” freshman Katie McMullen said. “Ultimately, we played well and we worked together well.”
