Davis High counselors held a college workshop for seniors on Sept. 7 to answer common questions students ask when applying to college.

The workshop consisted of reviewing the application information such as SAT and ACT requirements, different deadlines and how to request transcripts and letters of recommendations.

Since applications for UCs, private colleges and out-of-state colleges have started to open, many seniors at DHS have begun the process and found this workshop helpful.

Senior Mayah Moore attended the workshop after hearing about it through an email.

Moore has been working on the application process since the middle of August. She had many questions about the different applications such as California State Universities and the common apps.

“If there was any information I missed in the application so far I could get my questions and answers from this,” Moore said.

Many felt it was good to hear about the process from another perspective.

“I heard most of it before but it was great how they stressed on what I need to get done such as the dates I need to know and stuff like that,” senior Alex Van Der Zeeuw said.

Van Der Zeeuw feels this is a great resource to have and recommends the seniors next year attend.
