Students roared with excitement at the Homecoming game’s halftime show which included dances, cheerleading routines, Homecoming MVP announcements and an intense game of bubble soccer.
The cheerleaders and dance team took their turn on the field to perform routines to the crowd. “The cheer team has been working very hard on this performance,” senior cheerleader Melody Tun said.
Several students were chosen to compete in a game of bubble soccer, pitting the seniors against juniors. They were chosen based on their school spirit at the Homecoming rally. The students were dressed inside bubble suits and battled it out with a jumbo pogo ball. The game ended with the seniors taking the 2-0 win against the juniors.
“(Student government) really wanted to make the Halftime exciting and our goal is to bring students together with school spirit,” head of the halftime show committee Norah Dulaney said.
The halftime show ended with the Homecoming MVP’s being announced and receiving their awards. These honorees were nominated and voted on by students throughout the last two weeks.
“The halftime show was really fun to watch, and my favorite part was definitely the game of bubble soccer,” sophomore Mathias Rendon Reynoso said.
