Following the first half of the Varsity Homecoming Game, many were surprised to see the extravagant halftime show that featured: A dance routine, the cheer team, and a relay race.
To begin the halftime, there was first a dance routine.
Following that, we had the Cheer team with an eye-catching performance, consisting of flips and pyramids, organized and coached by Tamara Reed and Julia Bohn.
“I didn’t want it to end,” sophomore Julian Lopez said.
The spectators weren’t the only ones who enjoyed it though. Many members of the cheer team that took part in the performance also said it was a blast.
“The dance was fun, like amazing,” sophomore cheerleader Violet Watts said. “Going over the dance, stunts, and pyramids was practice over practice.”
Following the Cheer team’s performance, we also had a relay race in which the seniors won.
“The excitement and hype [of the relay race] was awesome,” sophomore Rahmon Haddadan said.
With this being his first Homecoming game as a DHS student, the sophomore really enjoyed this year’s halftime show.
Spectators, band members, and cheerleaders, all were entertained by this year’s halftime show overall, which featured many exciting aspects.
Along with the halftime performance, students and fans, with the theme of pink-out, definitely made sure to show their support for this season’s football team.
